When you go out on a date, it is expected to have silent moments because there will be times when you are unsure of what to say and what to ask since you haven’t really been with this person for a long time. But to help you get over the uncomfortable phase in dating,

Here are some of the questions you can ask to avoid awkward silences.

Asking a person what they want to do or the activities they enjoy during their spare time can be a great start to having a good conversation. From here, you will have an idea if you can do and enjoy some things together in the near future if you continue seeing each other.

2. What do you for work?

People also love talking about their work or something they do for a living especially if it is something they are very passionate about. Their job or career can be a great conversation piece and this is a great opportunity as well for you get a good sense of your date’s personality. It will be interesting to know if someone does their job or work simply to earn money or if it is something they do out of passion.

Do you have siblings? Asking about family background is a good way to know your date better and have an idea about where they came from. This will also give you an opportunity to share things about yourself and about your own family.

4. Where have you traveled and which place do you still want to visit?

Travel is one good topic to keep a conversation going. When you talk about visiting a place, there are so many other things that anyone could share about it. You can spend hours talking about just traveling alone especially if you share your own travel experiences.

6. What is your favorite movie?

This could be a very common question but it is important to know if your date has a good or lame taste when it comes to films. If you have the same taste in films, then at least you can expect some fun movie nights together during the weekends.

7. What is your favorite music?

It is hard to think about a person who does not love music. Everybody loves music, although we all have our own preference when it comes to the genre. It will even be more interesting if you find out that your date knows how to play some musical instrument like a guitar or piano. Don’t you think it’s even more romantic?
